Tecxell Consultancy Services (Tecxell, we, us and our) Tecxell is subject to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act), which includes the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

This Policy details the way Tecxell collects, holds and discloses information about individuals. Unless otherwise stated, this Policy applies to all of the products, services and web/mobile sites (Services) offered by Tecxell and its related entities. This Policy does not apply to third parties; third parties are responsible for and governed by their own privacy policies.

Tecxell reserves the right to vary this Policy from time to time. You agree to be bound by any such variations.

  • information you provide when using our Services (e.g. a location)
  • information logged on our servers (e.g. web requests, Internet Protocol address, browser type, cookies that may uniquely identify your browser or account, Google analytics tags)
  • information about the device on which you’re using Tecxell (e.g. type of device, device settings, unique device identifiers)
  • information about your actual or approximate location

  • information you give us permission to access from other services (e.g. friends or contacts you have on Facebook or Twitter)
  • information obtained from electronic verification providers.

  • Except where we need to disclose your information for legal purposes, we will ask for your consent prior to using your information for a purpose other than that for which it was collected.
  • Where we disclose your personal information to overseas recipients, you understand and agree we do not need to make reasonable efforts to ensure the overseas recipients do not breach the APPs in relation to the information.
Jurisdiction

We will hold and process your personal information on our servers in Australia, Europe, Asia and the United States and anywhere else we do business.

Information security

We will take reasonable steps, including electronic security measures, to protect information held by us from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. For example, we will restrict access to personal information to individuals and entities associated with Tecxell.

IP Addresses and Cookies

An Internet Protocol (IP) address is a set of numbers, which is assigned to your computer during a browsing session. It is automatically logged by our servers and used to collect traffic data about visitors to our Website. We do not use your IP address to identify you personally.

Cookies are safe. You can set your browser to indicate when a cookie is being sent or to disable all cookies. Minors

We ask that minors (as determined by applicable laws of your domicile) do not engage in any legal acts (including purchases) when using our Services without the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Accuracy, access and correction

You are encouraged to ensure your personal information is accurate, complete and up-to-date at all times. We may charge you an administrative fee to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

Where you request access to your personal information, we will within a reasonable period of receiving your request, provide you with access to your personal information in the manner you request, if reasonable and practicable to do so, or in a manner that is reasonable in the circumstances.

Where you request access to information disclosed by us to third parties for their direct marketing purposes, we will within thirty days of receiving your request, provide you with a list of the categories of the information disclosed in the immediately preceding calendar year, together with the Name and addresses of those third parties.

We will on our own initiative, or within a reasonable period of receiving a request from you, make reasonable efforts to correct or erase any personal information that is incomplete, inaccurate, outdated irrelevant or misleading for the purposes for which it is used. We will also make reasonable efforts to erase or de-identify any personal information that we no longer need for any authorised purpose and are not required to retain by law.

Where information we have previously disclosed to a third party is corrected, we will at your request make reasonable efforts to notify that third party of the correction.

Where information is erased, please note it may take some time before it is erased from our servers and it may be retained in our backup systems. Please also note we may:

  • charge you a fee where we provide you with access to your personal information
  • refuse to provide access or make corrections where the APPs allow us to do so.
  • Where we refuse to provide you with access or access in the manner you request, or correct your personal information as you request, we will:
  • provide you with written notice
  • make reasonable efforts to associate a statement with your information that your information is inaccurate, our-of-date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.
SITE STATISTICS
Use of Analytics Tools

In order to better serve our Website visitors and customers we may use Google Analytics features such as Remarketing, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, the DoubleClick Campaign Manager Integration and/or Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting (Google Display Advertising Features).

You can opt-out of the Google Display Advertising Features and customise Google Display Network ads using the Ad Settings.

As an added privacy measure, you can use the Google Analytics opt-out browser adds on.

We will not facilitate the merging of personally-identifiable information we hold or collect with non-personally identifiable information collected from the Google Display Advertising Features unless we have received your active prior consent to such merger.

We may use Remarketing with Google Analytics to advertise online. Third party vendors, including Google, may show our ads on sites across the internet. We and third party vendors, including Google, may use cookies set by the Google Display Advertising Features to inform, optimise and determine which ads you see on our Website, including ads based on your previous visits to our Website.

Regarding Google Display Network Impression Reporting and the DoubleClick Campaign Manager integration, we and third party vendors, including Google, may use cookies set by the Google Display Advertising Features to analyse and report on ads used on our Website including but not limited to the impressions created by the ads and how these interact with other ad features and other features and services.

Regarding Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting, we may use data from Google's Interest-based advertising and/or third party audience data (such as age, gender and interests) with Google Analytics to target and improve our marketing campaigns, marketing strategies and our Website content.

Marketing and Communications

You will have the opportunity to subscribe to certain areas of the Website. For instance you may wish to receive our newsletter or other marketing information (by E-Mail or Direct Mail) or enter competitions. In these circumstances we will ask for additional information, such as your age, occupation, style interests etc. We will also treat this information as “personal information,” as described in this policy. This will help us to target our marketing in a way we feel would be of specific interest to you. We may from time to time send with your ordered products, inserts advertising the goods or services of unrelated third party companies. Opting Out
